Raj is the Associate Medical Director for infection prevention and control at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, Co-Chair of the Antimicrobial Resistance Program Board for Cheshire and Merseyside and a Consultant Microbiologist. He has been a consultant in the NHS for over 10 years and has been in a Leadership role for over 7 years. He has vast experience in Consultant Recruitment over many years, has been a part of many recruitment panels and is the Royal College Speciality Representative for Consultant Recruitment. Raj has successfully completed the Senior Clinical Leaders Course at The King’s Fund. Raj has been part of several projects in Commonwealth countries tackling antibiotic resistance. He has a robust track record of Medical Leadership, mentorship, and wealth of management experience from previous roles of being a Clinical Director and being on the Consultants Committee of the BMA. He has contributed actively to Consultant and trainee interview courses and FRCPath Preparation courses and has been the member of the Speciality Advisory Committee for Microbiology. Raj is an NCCAS accredited trainer for the Trust.


Dr M Gopi

Consultant Paediatrician, Undergraduate Lead for Paediatrics, Oldham CCG Governing body member.

Gopi is a Consultant Paediatrician based at East Cheshire NHS Trust, Macclesfield. He has served as the Clinical Lead for Paediatrics at Macclesfield Hospital. He has more than 12 years of experience as a Consultant and has regularly recruited junior doctors and Consultants in this period. He has a Masters in Child Health in Paediatrics (Leeds University) and Masters in Paediatric Allergy (Imperial College London). He has vast experience in teaching undergraduate and post graduate trainee doctors and is an award-winning Undergraduate Tutor for the University of Manchester. He has led on an innovative project for a national body ‘Listening into Action’. He has an advisory role on commissioning services and strategic planning for the local CCG. He is a recipient of several clinical excellence awards for his contribution to patient care.

Dr S Dasgupta

Suparna is a Consultant Paediatrician and has an extensive involvement with Education, Training and Recruitment. She has served the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health both as a District College Tutor as well as Regional Advisor in Paediatrics for the North West. Suparna is an appointed panellist of the Appointments Advisory Committee and has vast experience in Consultant interviews, job approval and interview process. She has received several nominations and awards for her contributions to both Undergraduate and Postgraduate education. She has served at Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust as the Associate Director of Medical Education and as Trust Lead Tutor for Locally Employed Doctors for East Cheshire NHS Trust. Suparna is an experienced Appraiser and takes an active interest in mentoring.crobiology. Raj is an NCCAS accredited trainer for the Trust.
